I don’t know whether it was all the traveling, but whatever Robin picked up on the ferry and gave to me hasn’t left yet.
No, it’s not COVID. We’re sure of that. But it certainly has laid us flat for nearly two weeks now. Thank goodness the cats don’t demand much attention and there are no big chores to do around the house.
We got out and about for one day and visited the village of Saintes, poking our noses into the Saint-Pallais parish church, constructed in the 12th century and named for an obscure bishop whose statue may be seen in a niche on the left side of the picture below.
