Career Values Assessment

  • This is a 45-minute individual feedback and coaching session

What does this assessment provide?

Career satisfaction and success are very much dependent on your work and work environment being congruent with your personal career values. Yet most people don't know this.

For example, if one of your career values is "Honesty and Integrity," but the place you work at demands you do things you consider unethical or dishonest, you won't be happy in that job and probably won't be successful there.

Values are the beliefs that come from our core. They are deeply embedded within each of us. Knowing your values is one of the keys to building a great career.

The Career Values card sort identifies and clarifies your values quickly and accurately.

Motivated Skills Assessment

  • This is a 45-minute individual feedback and coaching session

What does this assessment provide?

Once you discover what your favorite skills are, you can list them on your resume in order to find a job that best matches your abilities.  Conversely, you will also know which skills to leave off your resume, so your next job is a better fit for you.

You will also identify your "transferable skills." These are the skills you can take with you from job to job.

Most importantly, you will identify your "motivated skills." These are skills you enjoy using the most and are highly proficient at.

At the other end of the scale, you will also understand your "burn out skills." Those are the skills you are competent at, but no longer enjoy using.

And finally, you will discover your "developmental skills." These are areas where you want to improve, or learn new skills.

Preferred Occupations Assessment

  • This is a 45-minute individual feedback and coaching session

What does this assessment provide?

The key to career success and satisfaction is to build your career around the type of work that interests you; the type of work you can be passionate about; the type of work that, when you are doing it, you lose all track of time.  Success comes much more easily when you are doing work you are passionate about.

The Preferred Occupations Assessment provides a fast technique for quickly identifying and ranking your occupational interests.  You will be guided through selecting from a deck of cards containing 110 different occupational titles.  After initial sorting, we group the careers that interest you into clusters.  The clusters point the way towards careers you should look into.

What benefit is THIS career coaching?

Naturally, there is a great deal more to finding a new career than what will be identified here (and I would personally recommend doing my Type Discovery Process in order to really know oneself and learn what environments would be conducive for you); yet this is an easy way to begin getting your hands around what kind of career you want to have, and a great entry point for Career Coaching as a whole.

I used to offer this package with two online assessments and one self-guided but, during the pandemic when everyone seemed to learn how to Zoom, I converted everything to an interactive experience, which is a great deal more fun and interesting with real-time feedback.

I am continually surprised at how much insight these easy card sorts provide and the value they bring. Come on and try it!
